Provides engineering and project management in both International and domestic market place supporting the US Army’s Product Management organization Power Projection Enablers (PM P2E) for the Pacific Region.

 

Senior Technical Advisor- Lead Engineer, Seoul, Korea

Serves as the Senior Systems Engineer providing engineering and project management support for the Pacific Director- representing the U.S. Army Product Manager, Power Projection Enablers (PM P2E) with oversight of enterprise projects on the Korean Peninsula and projects throughout the Pacific region including, Alaska, Hawaii, Kwajalein, and Japan/Okinawa. These projects provide the U.S. Army a wide range of communications facilities from Inside Plant (ISP), Outside Plant (OSP), active network equipment, and life cycle management for joint U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force projects.  Assists in overseeing acquisition of Communications and Information Technology systems/devices and performs analytical duties related to the program and resource management of systems/equipment acquisition/implementation efforts. Developed and wrote the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for closing out projects between PM P2E and their stakeholder. Developed and wrote the Train the Trainer program which outlined procedures and documentation  that will be used to train new technicians on the information need to be collected for field surveys of Telecommunication Rooms (TR’s), Area Distribution Nodes (ADN”s) and Main Communication Nodes (MCN’s). Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for closing out projects between PM P2E and their stakeholder. Developed and wrote the Risk Management Plan for PM P2E in the Pacific theater. Responsible for Outside Plant (OSP) and Inside Plant (ISP) and Technical Control Facilities (TCF) projects throughout the greater Kabul, Afghanistan area worth over $100M annually.

·   Interpreted Project Overview Statement (POS) providing the customer a complete design package.

·   Produced a project package which included a Statement of Requirements (SOR), Statement of Work (SOW), Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM), Engineering Detail (EDP), and List of Materials (LOM).

 

Tyco Telecommunications, NJ          2008 to 2009

One of the world’s largest providers of advanced global broadband communication solutions. The world’s only fully integrated supplier with the capabilities to design, develop, build, install and maintain undersea optical networks for telecommunications providers and commercial businesses.

 

Project Manager

Managed and oversaw the installation of a $300M undersea fiber optic project. This project placed fiber optic along the entire east coast of Africa from Egypt to South Africa with additional service linking India. Additional duties included Monitored budget to insure performance. Managed all permitting and easement issues and conflicts, developed procedures to review, analyze and report monthly budget status for all projects, ensured conformance to baseline performance and profit margins, managed project status and implementation issues throughout all phases of all projects, supported the sales team, negotiated contracts, maintained customer relationships, managed all contract deliverables, and assessed risk and coordinated implementation across team members.

 

Mission 1st, Kabul, Afghanistan          2006 to 2008

Provides engineering and project management in both International and domestic market place supporting the US Army’s Afghanistan US Army’s Product Management organization Defense Communications Systems for Southwest Asia (PM DCS-SWA).
